About

Jason Kulatunga has more than 5 years of experience in Software Development with various languages, toolsets and development environments. He has a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Most recently he worked with EyeCode Inc. completing contracts where he had the opportunity to work on, and gain extensive knowledge of multiple technologies such as MVC, XML + JSON REST Web Services, AJAX, SVN and mobile technologies such as Obj-C for iOS development.

He is currently employed full time at the University of Alberta, working with the application development team for the Department of Human Resources. His responsibilities include developing and maintaining software applications that are used by thousands of staff and students on campus on a daily basis. He works as part of a small team of developers adding functionality and tracking bugs on existing sites, and is involved with designing and building new scalable applications as they are required.

He uses technologies such as .NET (C#/VB), VBA, MS T-SQL 2005/2008, XHTML and JavaScript (JQuery) almost everyday. He is very adept at picking up new languages, and is looking to advance his Software Engineering career by learning new technologies and extending his programming experience.
